Fun, fun and more fun is what we plan for this unique and very creative fashion show hosted by Martha Pullen! Come meet the exhibitors and designers as they model or carry their fabulous products down the runway! We never know what surprises they have in store for us! See new fashions as well as new products in a very interesting way!

Embellishing Crazy Patchwork Quilts II
As a continuation to last year’s popular introduction to Embellishing Crazy Quilts, Gloria’s presentation in 2011 will show the embellishing stitches and techniques used in more detail. See flowers and decorative embroideries created from silk ribbons of all sizes and silk threads of many types. See and learn how easy it is to dye your own ribbons, threads and laces using Australia’s “Maddie’s Craft Dyes.”
All of these techniques and more can be seen on Gloria’s newest quilt, Asian Riches, which is having its inaugural showing here in Arlington.

Pati Palmer

DREAMS ON PAPER
Brain dumping on paper has been Pati’s life-long talent, whether she is writing books and articles, or designing patterns and writing the accompanying guide sheets. She will share her career from its beginnings - as a 10-year-old sewing dirndl skirts or participating in high school debate - to the gutsy determination that set her on a path of fulfilling desires.  In 2010, Pati celebrated 30 years designing for McCall's and prior to that she designed for Vogue for 5 years.   She has produced dozens of sewing books and DVDs as well as a line of excellent fusible interfacings.  Pati is dubbed THE FIT EXPERT by McCall's and all of her designs include alteration lines on the patterns. She will show how she makes fitting yourself easy. Pati is the President of Palmer/Pletsch and Designer for The McCall Pattern Company.
